Women’s Ministries
It is the desire of Women of Faith that the women of Faith Baptist Church work together to honor and serve the Lord Jesus Christ while growing in their personal relationship to the Lord. Women of Faith coordinates activities that include retreats, Bible studies, missionary support activities and special classes that strive to meet the needs of ladies attending Faith.
The Secret Sisters of Faith Program is about encouraging, comforting, loving and praying for your assigned sister in Christ. Two women are paired together as secret sisters and throughout the year they connect and grow with each other through encouragement and prayer. Youth Ministry at FBC
Wednesdays at 6:30 pm
The FBC youth ministry is headed by Nic Stowitts (Student Ministries Coordinator) and several volunteer adult leaders. Our Wednesday night program offers Bible teaching, gym/game times, worship and growing together in a small group community.
To know the Word of God well enough to teach students about the things of God. A basic knowledge of the Word of God is a must for an effective ministry. (II Tim. 2:15)
To reach new kids for Christ by having a good outreach program. Evangelism needs to be built into every youth program. This also provides a good opportunity to teach the youth how to witness to the unsaved. (Acts 1:8)
To equip the students to study the Bible so they can grow in God. Teach the youth how to study the Bible. The importance of knowing how to study the Bible cannot be underestimated. (II Tim. 3:16-17)
To equip the youth to do the work of God and teach the youth how to serve God, and then provide them opportunities to do so. The purpose of all ministry is to glorify God. We do this by serving God through various different ways. (Eph. 4:11-12)
Wednesday’s at 6:30 pm
AWANA stands for Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed, taken from 2 Timothy 2:15. This ministry is passionately pursuing one child at a time for the Gospel of Christ because kids matter deeply to God. This is a great way for your children to be involved in memorizing Scripture and studying God’s word. It runs during the school year for children Pre-K to 5th grade and takes place on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm
A typical AWANA night consists of:
Game Time where the clubbers will play fun and exciting games.
Handbook Time where they will share their memory verses in small groups.
Council Time where they hear a short message or a story in the Bible and how it relates to their lives.
Clubbers also look forward to a few special events throughout the AWANA Calendar, such as the AWANA Grand Prix.
-
Cubbies are for boys and girls of preschool age. This program emphasizes parents as the primary source of spiritual nurturing. Cubbies directly involve moms and dads in their teaching and learning process by involvement in Bible memorization. Please Note: kids need to be potty trained before attending the Cubbies club.
-
Sparks is for boys and girls in kindergarten, first and second grades. The Gospel is regularly presented at this critical stage in the child’s spiritual development.
-
Truth & Training (T&T) is for boys and girls in the third, fourth, and fifth grades. T&T clubs feature a strong focus on consistent presentations of the Gospel, Scripture application, and personalization of the Word in the AWANA clubbers’ lives.
